I cannot say enough positive things about this bride and groom. Sarah was so detailed oriented, just as I am, and I didn't mind taking a back seat on the controls. She is so sweet and kind hearted. I love her and her family. Joe was promoted to Colonel while we were in the planning process...No pressure there! He was the ultimate gentleman and one of my favorite grooms. I loved celebrating with his family. The reception was one of the best, Fireworks and everything. This wedding was so customized...hand written Seating chart, hand tied favor boxes of chocolates, Saber Bearers, hand made table numbers, we had it all. This is the reason I love my job!
I love this photo....Evlio is in Law Enforcement and Danielle surprised him with a caution tape garter! Awesome....If there was ever a rained out wedding, this would be it. We all wanted the ceremony to take place on the end of the pier....But the rain did not. That did not stop the fun once we got inside! The "Ring Security", Danielle's son Nehamiah, was so cute! If I could surprise Danielle with a sunny perfect beach weather day ceremony, I would. She deserves it!
I love this wedding and planning with Jess. She was so easy and sweet. Her purple and nude color scheme worked out beautifully at the Brooklyn Arts Center downtown Wilmington. I made Jess a custom brooch bouquet which she added a photo of her father. Benny Hill played Jazz Saxophone out in the courtyard for cocktail hour, the lighting ws perfect. Jessica's dress has to be one of my favs! Love her wedding party girls and Brian's man squad...they had mad skills on the dance floor.
Lindsey and Colin were so cool to work with...maybe due to living in California! Beachside Occasions set up a beautiful ceremony on the beach under a bamboo arbor and the reception was at Bluewater, a gorgeous venue with a stunning view. Fav of the night was the garter decked with lottery tickets....everyone dove for that one I believe. I love the "first look" when Lindsey tied a Tie of Colin's over his eyes :) I felt so "at home" with their family.
I love Nathan and Sarah!!!! These two were soooo fun... I met them a year before their wedding and only met again with them once before the big day. Nathan was the coolest groom....always in an awesome mood. Sarah I want to put in my pocket and carry around with me everywhere… I love her humor and she takes everything in stride. They let me run with the centerpiece decorations and even threw me in the pool at the end of the reception. Even having a nightmare of a neighbor during the wedding everything came off perfectly!
Haleigh and Charles said I Do before friends and family overlooking the beautiful Southport Marina. What a gorgeous place to get married!! Charles and Haleigh made everything themselves, even the bouquets. I love this bride, she is so sweet. Her Mother has a special place in my heart...She called me first and asked was it too late for me to help with her daughter's wedding. When I did talk to Haleigh, I knew by her southern accent that we would get along.
This wedding was amazing...I feel as though I became a pat of the family! Jessica and Jeff are so sweet and had fun the entire night. Instead of the bouquet and garter toss, we had a lip sync battle! Which the bride won of course....The flowers by Desi Parker were stunning and I love the english garden feel for the wedding day at Wrightsville Manor. Did a custom painting for Jess and Jeff from their engagement shoot with Michael Escobar. Could do this wedding every weekend it was so fun!
Tori and Mike were such a pleasure to work with! Both so calm and relaxed...as was the planning process and wedding too. That doesn't mean that we didn't party on the dance floor! Tori made her own table centerpieces and had wooden flower bouquets. I love the purple, blue and green color palette...which played out well on the custom cereomny paper flower backdrop I made. Fav touch was the TV show table numbers!
Amber and Jimmy built a beautiful house on the water in Hampstead, NC, and decided to get married there, it was perfect for the Big Day. The pool was installed two weeks before, new lawn put down, stunning boardwalk to the waterway...and a boat to ride up to the ceremony in. Then it started to rain...and rain some more. This was the most rain I have ever seen at a wedding and Amber pulled it off in style! Everyone was soaking wet....but had the best time. I would do it again and again....It's obvious that Amber and Jimmy are in love and adore each other.
